It wasn't the actual Sherlock theme but it was clearly a riff on it. That was one of my favourite parts of the episode, btw. Matt Smith was clearly just having so much fun with it.

Looking for some advice. Should I get the first half of season 7 on DVD or wait for the whole thing? I know extras have been slim or nil on some earlier half season releases, but I understand this half season does have some.

In these days of Netflix, etc, I am not surprised that many aren't picking them up, but I still buy DVDs. I am interested in getting the set, but I don't want to get it and then find there's something on the full season set I didn't get. I'm not re-buying.

Finally caught up with Doctor Who. :smt026

Just finished the Snowmen episode and am stoked to see Oswin make a return. I adored her in the asylum and was very very pleased to see her return, and as the new companion no less!!

I was kinda sad to see the Ponds go, but to be honest I was getting a little tired of them. Kinda think it is time for a new Doctor also.

Oh almost forgot! The other characters are very interesting as well (cant remember their names right now)

Not sure if these have been posted yet but, I leave you with a few choice shots of our new companion...

Smith has been confirmed for the 50th anniversary season, so he's got at least one more season in him. I like himself, myself, and I'm in no hurry to see him go.

I don't know, sometimes I find him to be a bit annoying and too silly. :?

...or maybe I still just miss David Tennant.

I'd just wait. I imagine the complete season would have everything.

Did anyone watch the special from this weekend?

They talked about the first Doctor and showed The Aztecs. I hope they do it with the others too.

I just read the 50th anniversary short story of the first doctor from Amazon on my Kindle. This was my first exposure to him. I followed up by going to the BBC YouTube page and saw some clips of him. I liked what I saw in terms of character and want to see more regarding the relationship with Susan.

So my one question is when do the sonic screwdriver come into doctor who myth since it looks like the first did not have one.
