Looks like it's just Tennant then (oh and Piper). Sigh. He's the Doctor I'm least interested in seeing return. Not because I don't like him or anything but because it's the most obvious and easiest to pull off.

That they haven't reached out to McCoy or McGann (and last I heard, they both say they haven't) is perplexing to me.

I don't get it. They really seem to have something against going back pre-relaunch.

In Melbourne there was supposed to be a Doctor Who con on November 23rd, but had to be put off til December because apparently the Beeb were booking as many people as they could for the anniversary.

I get to meet McGann and McCoy this Friday and Saturday, they probably won't have any news, but you never know.

I reckon it's probably for the best, they haven't been in the role since 1996 and have aged a fair bit. Would be blatant fanservice given the doctor being immortal. But they could just be promoting Tennant to make any other big returns they much more shocking. We've all gotten so used to the Internet spoiling us these days.

Still hoping for a John Simms return though.

Not really. I think Moffat worked around it pretty well when the 5th Doctor returned for that Children in need special.

I'd love him back on TV as well, but that might never happen. Have you ever been to http://www.bigfinish.com ? They do Doctor Who audio dramas featuring Doctors 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8.

It might not be TV, but its Paul McGann playing the Doctor and he is great.

Had a friend recommend those to me, definitely want to check them out somepoint soon.

Zechs and I were doing this fun thing the other day, comparing our personalities to Dr. Who characters and I said I was definitely a combination of 8 and 11. Hence is one of the reasons I really want to see him again. I could do without Eric Roberts master though.

Put a wig on McGann and he looks exactly like he did back then. The hair he wore in that movie was a wig anyways. (fun and random facts that I know for no good reason)

And since Paul never got a regeneration scene, who knows how old he looked when his Doctor died.

even with regenerations it's easy for any of the doctor's to look older. Due to all the timey whimey stuff.
