I've read that he confirmed the 12-regenerations.

That's what I mean but he also said that Capaldi is the 'last' one, I think.

Christopher Eccleston had a message for the British Film Institute about the Doctor. I think it was some retrospective of the 9th?

I love the BFI. I love the Doctor and hope you enjoy this presentation. Joe Ahearne directed five of the 13 episodes of the first series. He understood the tone the show needed completely – strong, bold, pacy visuals coupled with wit, warmth and a twinkle in the performances, missus.

If Joe agrees to direct the 100th anniversary special, I will bring my sonic and a stair-lift and – providing the Daleks don’t bring theirs – I, the ninth Doctor, vow to save the universe and all you apes in it.

He wasn't there. It was just a written message.

No return of the Time Lords. :( :(

The showrunner revealed that "the door is open" for a return of The Doctor's daughter, Jenny, while a return for Time Lady Romana was ruled out.

"I have actually given no thought at all to Romana," he insisted. "The Time Lords are dead in my mind. They died."

I haven't seen that anywhere. I've only been able to find this:

Host Frank Skinner asked: "Do you acknowledge the convention that The Doctor can only regenerate 12 times?", to which Moffat simply replied: "Yes."

Moffat also spoke about Peter Capaldi retaining his Scottish accent for the Twelfth Doctor, commenting: "I'd be very surprised if he didn't [keep it]."

Right, I think that IS where I got it from so I must have imagined it. The main thing is that this is the first actual New-Who confirmation that the limit is even a thing that needs to be dealt with.

So this is the latest rumor...

Details of the Scots actor's contract were let slip by show boss Stephen Moffat - who picked Capaldi to take over the TARDIS.The dramatic handover from Matt Smith, 31, will be seen in this year's festive special which will be one of the highlights of Christmas Day TV. After that Capaldi, 55, will star in two series of six episodes each before waving goodbye to the Timelord - or signing a new deal depending on how popular he has been.

I just noticed, he's the 9th and 10th Doctor's Sonic Screwdriver there.

On the regeneration thing, I think they've generated so many ways around it, that they're really just having to try to decide which to go with and how. I doubt the Doctor is stuck at 12 only at this point.

I wonder if the interior of the TARDIS will change again or not. I kind of hope not.

Oh shit, I think I know which of the Doctors he's going to play it most like. He said in his intro he would but not which one.

That costume screams Jon Pertwee, the 3rd Doctor.

Hmmmmm, only 12 episodes in total possibly. If this is true, that would make his period as the Doctor the shortest wouldn't it.
