I'd be fine with a female Doctor.

What I think they do is that they audition a whole bunch of people including at least some people who aren't white men and then they pick the best one based on that and their previous work. Which seems to be exactly the right way of going about it. I can well believe that Smith and Capaldi and everyone gave the best performances. I mean, just look at them on the show: Smith was excellent and whilst it's still a bit early to tell for sure, Capaldi was great in the first episode and has been outstanding in nearly everything else that he's done.
"The trouble with fighting for human freedom is that one spends most of one's time defending scoundrels. For it is against scoundrels that oppressive laws are first aimed, and oppression must be stopped at the beginning if it is to be stopped at all."

Yeah, you need to come up with some good advice for a change.

The one thing Doctor Who desperately needs is to create some new iconic characters and villains rather than focusing on daleks so much.

Weeping Angels were a great step in the right direction, but they've become overused too now.

Yeah, they're all getting a little watered down & predictable.

It was cool seeing the Daleks twice under Ecclestion. And then when they fought with the Cybermen during Tennant's run. They were scary ass mofos.

But then they appeared a few more times under Smith, they get casually tossed around in the 50th Anniversary special, they appeared in Smith's farewell & ads show them in the new run.

It's not exciting or scary seeing them anymore.

Kinda surprised that the Master didn't appear in Smith's run.

The Master does seem overdue for an appearance.

I'd rather see classic villains revisited then some of the modern ones.

I still really want to see an explanation concerning the Cybermen, how did the classic ones become mixed with the modern ones?

Plus, I really really want to see Romona again.
