Would that be considered "trope l'oiel"?

I've had a sinus infection for over a month. Two rounds of antibiotics and it hasn't gone away.

:-D

It DOES however constitute plagairism, lacking any citations, I suppose....

I'll have to avoid incorporating that post into any of the papers I'm writing for publication, then. :P

Obviously, you're some skinny, single nerd living on the East Coast who probably derives value in life from wrestling matches, hoping that Wolverine gets to sleep with teenagers and engaging in casual drug use. You're literally the worst thing to happen to comics since Stan Lee.

Well, no, see... It's just like when people post articles without any citations. In these instances, it's not the POSTER they'd go after. It's the ol' Lord of the Monkeys, being site owner. And I may love you rascals... But I ain't goin' to court for none of ya'll. Ain't nobody got time for that.

Specially not for tvtropes. :)

Temporary relief if it doesn't interfere with other meds. Best decongestant ever.

Two different kinds. I'm not super sick or anything, but it's sapped my energy. I was supposed to run a trial race this weekend, but I haven't been able to train for it at all, so I probably won't.

Going to a doctor later today who will likely send me to an ENT specialist.

At first I thought you said they were humping.
The witness said Mr Brown then called out to Ms Hay's adult daughter: "Look at this, I'm tittie-f***ing your mother!".

My issue is the 'what is the point of this?' issue.

"HERE IS A THING THAT HAS BEEN IN SOME THINGS!!!!"

"Yes?"

"DON'T YOU RECOGNISE THE THING FROM THE THINGS?"

"Yeah, and?"

"..."

"Hello?"

"SOMETIMES THINGS GET USED IN OTHER THINGS AND YOU CAN GIVE THEM NAMES AND LIST EXAMPLES!!!!"

"So?"

"THIS IS LIKE THE 'SO?' TROPE WHERE SOME PERSON IN A SHOW SAYS 'SO?' BECAUSE THEY THINK THEY'RE SO ORIGINAL."

"I don't think it's original, I think it's a reasonable response. You could make the most original bike of all time by using soap bubbles instead of, like, metal or whatever but it would be shit. I am making my bike out of materials known to work because they have been used successfully before."

"TO POINT OUT THAT SOMETHING IS A TROPE IS NOT TO CRITICISE ITS USE!!!!"

"Which brings us back to what the point actually is?"

"THE POINT IS THAT EVERYTHING MUST BE NOTICED AND CATALOGUED!!"

"Why?"

"..."

Gee, on that note, why should anyone study astronomy??
Or perform any form of art??

Understanding how things work -- and such things include storytelling -- is a worthy pursuit.
