A Familiar Face Shows Up On Green Lantern: The Animated Series

Postby LOLtron » Wed Jul 11, 2012 12:40 pm

A Familiar Face Shows Up On Green Lantern: The Animated SeriesWith the second half of Green Lantern: The Animated Series Season 1 on the horizon. A teaser picture of someone new who'll be showing up for the show and just what the overall story will be for this half of the season.

When the show returns in September, Hal Jordan will find Earth isn't his domain anymore. Given he was missing for several months the Guardians have replaced him with...

Guy_Gardner_bitches

That's right. Guy Gardner will be coming to Green Lantern: The Animated Series! He'll be voiced by Diedrich Bader from Batman: The Brave and the Bold. Also revealed who the big bad for the second half of the season will be. It was first teased that it be the Manhunters, but now it appears someone new has taken that spot.. the Anti-Monitor. Hal will spend the season trying to find new allies to combat this new menace.

Hey! The main Green Lantern title is still good although I have no faith in the zero issue and beyond...

Anyways, I haven't gotten into the Green Lantern animated series due to the animation style. That being said, the promise of the Anti-Monitor has me interested enough to check it out.

I really haven't enjoyed the Indigo Tribe storyline, it just seems to have been drug out for too long. Definitely do not care about the Third Army storyline coming up either, so I dropped Green Lantern from my pull list for the first time since GL Rebirth.

Yeah, the Indigo Tribe are definitely my least favorite of the Corps. I agree that their arc has been too long especially since we already knew about their big "secret" because it was revealed when Lyssa Drak captured Sinestro, Carol Ferris, Saint Walker, Larfleeze, and Indigo inside of the Book of the Black before the relaunch.

Currently, I am enjoying the book for Hal's interactions with Sinestro but it looks like that will be put on hold for the nuLantern's story. So, like you, I will probably drop the book for the first time since Rebirth.
