Well, more power to you.

But I don't think anyone mentioned Shakespeare. Something doesn't need to be Shakespeare in order to be good. This show was neither. There were episodes that were better than others. That's as good as it ever got.

If you watched it weekly it wasn't that bad. But if you're going to be watching it in marathon sessions make sure there's a noose and a ledge handy. It gets THAT bad at times.

This is true for the early seasons. I watched 5 seasons in a week and it was a LONG week at times. I did like it though.

I am almost through season 3 and it definetly is a show that needs space between it. I cannot even formulate a full blown opinion yet.

I think i may skip some episodes thay sound random or silly in the synopsis. The shows are very long when they're bad.

I want to.see the super hero stuff. I think season 6 may be when it picks up from what ive read.

It's got some fun episodes. But really anything with Lana in it is crap. Just watch the ones with superheros from the DCU.

So im in season 6. There's been some good episodes but i have a gigantic issue...

My favorite show of all time is Buffy. I have watched every episode multiple times, and even traveled to london for a convention (ya im lame.)

Smallville literally steals from Buffy episodes a few times per season...it makes me furious to watch the episodes.

Im currently watching the episode where Clark is, possibly "crazy" and imagining his powers...its just too much. Yes they change aspects, but its flat out aggrivating to see the plagery.

I know other things have uses that similar story but this is toooooo much alike, not to mention the countless other similarities to buffy.

Also, the Saw ripoff episode...wow. blatant as fuck...

I dont hate the show. I like some episodes alot. Im just aggrivated with its unoriginal ways. Haha

Actually they didn't steal that from Buffy. I've seen the same damn plot done at least 3 times before Buffy did it.

That's not to say that Smallville isn't unoriginal at times. Smallville just got so damn trite and cliched at specific points that I can't even watch those episodes on DVD anymore even though I have 5 seasons on DVD and 3 season on Blu-Ray. I just skip to the good episodes and ignore the fuck out of the other ones.

Did you see the episode that has vampires? One named Buffy Sanders!! :-D

A lot of these shows use the same basic ideas (an episode where the person is crazy, a universe where they never existed, An evil universe, a nice universe ala lex being nice, a flash to a possible future, an episode where they get sent back in time, etc)

Smallville just isnt very subtle about it.

I said others have done it too but the way they're doing this sweats buffy (also a million other episodes have) i agree other shows/movies did it similar before. The whole style of the first season was a buffy ripoff ifor thought to be honest. (Just not too good)

I totally agree some are near unwatchable while others are great. Unfortunately im watching the first time so i dont know what to skip! Haha

I liked alot of season 5. Some season 6 has been decent so far. Green arrow and lex are my favorite characters of the show.
