First Trailer for The Rock's 'Hercules'

After that pretender Hercules movie earlier this year, it's nice to finally see the trailer for The Rock's version.

From the trailer premiere of Hercules at CinemaCon 2014:

Before we started shooting Hercules, Paramount, MGM and I made a pact. We wanted to make a massive global and entertaining movie without really revealing the actual look.  The goal for me is to completely disappear. I had the hair, full beard and prosthetic penis.  They insisted, but I didn’t need it.

We went all out to protect Hercules’ look to not be revealed.  I wanted to bring fans along with starting on social media. Here’s my training. Here’s my diet. Here’s my prep. Here’s what I look like.  So with every pic, I brought the world along Hercules journey without ever, ever showing…..my face.

Based on the Radical Studios graphic novel “Hercules: The Thracian Wars,” the ensemble-action film is a revisionist take on the classic myth set in a grounded world where the supernatural does not exist.

Everyone knows the legend of Hercules and his twelve labors. Our story begins after the labors, and after the legend…

Haunted by a sin from his past, Hercules has become a mercenary. Along with five faithful companions, he travels ancient Greece selling his services for gold and using his legendary reputation to intimidate enemies. But when the benevolent ruler of Thrace and his daughter seek Hercules’ help to defeat a savage and terrifying warlord, Hercules finds that in order for good to triumph and justice to prevail… he must again become the hero he once was… he must embrace his own myth… he must be Hercules.

“Hercules” will be in theaters on July 25 this year.

I think it looks like a sequel to Mummy or the Scorpion King.

I listened to podcast with a writer. I like that they examine the propaganda aspect of Hercules story. Basically the Rock will be more of an ahole but his public image will be heroic.

No, in one go. Heaven is not for the weak. They inherit the Earth, or rather a small part of it, Afghanistan.
