It almost sounds like DC's first step in unveiling to a larger audience their new versions of the classic heroes.
Like, setting the stage to reveal Battle-Armor Superman(TM) or some shit like that. I dunno.

I'm interested in DC Animated. Much more than the actual comics. But y'know...you got the GL show featuring Red Lanterns, and then this Superman vs. The Elite bullshit (if YOU liked the Elite, fine, but I thought that shit was fuck-assed). And with Flashpoint, it seems as if DC is going out of its way to extrude all their recent and shitty ideas into the one part of DC that remained untouched by creative dipshittery.

Other people in this thread have mentioned that they trust DC animated. I don't doubt that there is a possibility that they can take something like Flashpoint and actually make it watchable... it might be difficult to make it worse but they have other, better stuff they could do. Unless their #1 priority is to make the recent junk be relevant in some way.
