The riddle game was a great idea. It was so great that I had to chime in even though I didn't need the code. Everyone should know to ignore any movie requests I make(or just ignore me in general). I haven't taken a single code.

Ah, well live and learn I guess. No worries, I'm sure somebody will want the code, so no harm done. I just think I need to make my riddle trickier next time!

Hi everyone! I'm new to the digital code scene, and am looking to try it out. What does everyone think about ultraviolet? I heard its the next big thing, but it's not really that reliable. Is this true? Or is itunes the way to go?

I don't know what code you're talking about, but I'd sure love to try it :)

Thanks in advance for your generosity (if it's still available)

The code is an itunes code for The Cabin in the Woods. Are you cool with itunes, or are you looking for UV specifically?

I can do iTunes, I haven't done ultraviolet at all yet :) What do you think about "UV" is it your preferred method for streaming movies?

I personally like both. And there are pros and cons to each.

Itunes pros:
Downloadable .mp4 file
Can be transfered onto ipod
Stored in itunes cloud on your account
Cons:
DRM restrictions making movies unusable on other video playing devices
Take up harddrive space

Ultraviolet pros:
Redeemable through a variety of sources.
Unlimited streaming
stored in cloud for easy access.
Ability to link multiple UV accounts together
Cons:
Can be downloaded, but can only be played through vudu or flixter programs.
Does not play on rooted android devices

There are probably more of each, but that is what I came up with off the top of my head.

I'll PM you the movie code. Also, welcome to the site!

Thank you so much for the code, and the information! I really appreciate it :)
You're very kind and helpful! I'll have to look more into flixter and vudu. I thought iTunes was cloud base also so you don't need to download movies :? I'm definitely not a fan of DMR but can understand the need for something like it, just need to tweak it I guess.

Thanks again for the code!

No problem.

And technically itunes does have a cloud that you can stream your music through and stuff (not sure about movies though) but since I have an ipod classic which isn't compatible with that service, I have never tried it. I do know that once you redeem a movie code on itunes it is stored in your purchased items cloud. Someone else may have to clarify the way the itunes cloud thing works with iphones and ipads, because I don't know much more than what I have already told you... Sorry.
