but when talking about blacks and going directly to fried chicken and bbq it can viewed as playing to stereotypes. I'm surprised she didn't bring up watermelon.

Watermelon is probably good for you though. Everyone in the south eats this stuff. It's only 'black' outside the south.

If Thunderstorm says the N-word 3 times in a row does a Mexican show up and mow his lawn?

Barbecue chicken & blacks, yup.
Barbecue pork or beef? Not so much. (at least what I've noticed in North Cackilacky)
In the South, even barbecue is segregated.

Ah, segregation!

It's not like there are black people on the Food Network...

Anyway, a black people cooking show would just be about BBQ and fried chicken and Guy Fieri already has a show about that.

I had to watch their show twice before my wife could convince me that woman wasn't Niecy Nash. Sounds JUST like her.

Not in the Border Belt area of southeastern North Carolina/northeastern South Carolina, my stomping grounds. Whites, blacks, and Indians love BBQ pork. 8) You'll see those three groups of people plus Mexicans at any decent country buffet restaurant that has barbecue and fried chicken.
