Game of Thrones Earns 16 Emmy Nods, Walking Dead Gets 0

That's because one series is good and the other isn't.

Source: Deadline

The Primetime Emmys announced their nominees this morning.  Game of Thrones earned 16 nominations, including Outstanding Drama and Supporting Actor/Actress noms for Peter Dinklage and Emilia Clarke.  The Walking Dead earned 0 nominations, which meant it earned less nominations than 2 Broke Girls, Revolution, Smash, Robot Chicken, Elementary, and Survivor.  Basically, The Walking Dead earned as many nominations as Sharknado.

The full list of nominees can be found here

Ouch. i mean yeah, GoT is a better show, at least to me, but really going a goose egg on WD is harsh.

The last season of Walking Dead felt like it was written by zombies, so no argument there!

With the season finale they produced they don't deserve any accolades whatsoever. The entire season was so decompressed and the finale was no different.

Which is why Kirkman is promising season 4 will be true to the comics, largely.

They know they fucked up with the pacing especially.

The acting was still good.

Still a snub.

Why bother mentioning Walking Dead? It's like questioning why Two Broke Girls wasn't nominated for any.

It can be a good show but it gets a little too big headed when there is much success and they start slacking off.

To be honest, the comic is not as good lately either (I read in trade, so maybe it's gotten better).

I know the big high concept was 'a Zombie movie that doesn't have to end', but maybe there was a good reason that they end?

Are Netflix shows eligible for Emmy noms? If so, I could see Orange is the New Black sweeping it next year.

I'm more shocked that Tatiana Maslany wasn't nominated for Orphan Black.
