I took a break from gaming for a couple of years to get life together.
Too bad that didn't work out.

I'm only a bit of the way through City and I miss the type of Riddler clues from the first game. Maybe that stuff will come back more as I move through the game.

I know, I am nowhere near the gamer I used to be. I built a new gaming PC and have a 360 and I don't spend that much time on them unless the game really blows my mind. The Batman games though are the first time I actually felt like a superhero while playing it.

which would you recommend if you've played both: Asylum or City?

I'm only a little bit into City so far. Asylum was amazing and well worth the playtime. City is more open world but I find the plot so far in Asylum to be better, the setup of the clue parts of the game was a bit more interesting as well. But I've just scratched the surface of city so that view may change quickly.

I thought the overall plot to asylum was good, but it lacked strong emotional attachment to it from the characters, aside from the beginning with Comissioner Gordon being taken prisoner.
The Arkham Diaries were cool though and DC should totally incorporate that character and his mo into the DC universe.

There are way more Riddler clues and challenges and trophies in City. And you finally get to deal with him face to face.

Yea it gets deeper. Plus the villains are a lot better. It takes a while to really unlock the riddler stuff and some of it is freaking hard to find.

I'm not sure what is up with all the riddle trophies under the little cage dome deals. Some kind of stand on this and open them type deal. I'll probably do what I did with Asylum and finish the main story then go back and grab most of those at the end.
I like Catwoman's outfit, I want to see a porn parody with some mega hot porn star slut in that. With big cans! I usually just have her move on all fours since I'm a perv that way.

And it sucks I cant buy the bonus Batsuits and use them on the first play through. I want to be the classic Blue and Grey Batman! Or the Goddamn Batman!

As you unlock more utility belt items, you'll figure out how to use them to open some of those caged trophies. Some are a matter of hitting switches in order; some are a matter of using the remote control batarang to hit a switch that you can't immediately see; some you have to use the explosive charges to trigger the buttons all at once; some, you have to run around and hit the button under a certain amount of time, etc.
