I heard a lot of good things about this book and while it wasn't terrible, it was disappointing. The reveal of who The Ripper was so predictable, as soon as he was introduced I knew it was him. The trial kind of killed the momentum of the book as well, I wanted to see more Bat-man and less Bruce Wayne, not to sat i didn't enjoy the character, I just wanted more of the Bat-man.
The follow up was just shitty. I wish there were more stories or even a series on this Batman, very interesting take on him. :smt019

It was one of my favorite books when I was a kid. I never read the follow up.

You're too young to be reading From Hell.

I read this when it came out and still have it. While I have similar misgivings with the story, I really enjoyed the Mignola art. I did get the follow up and, once again, the art outdid the story. By a farther margin the second time around.

I think you're thinking of the later Batman: The Doom That Came To Gotham.

I've never heard of a Batman/Lovecraft book. Is it any good?
