Chris wrote:This is an odd review. He points out that all that stuff is par for the course with GTA games yet still finds fault with that. Thats fine, but maybe GTA just isn't for you in that case. I think at this point you know what youre going to get. And considering the fact that most people just run around these games killing and causing mayhem... the fact that the characters have no redeemable qualities doesnt really seem like a big issue to me.

The characters are a representation of the gamer. Especially Trevor, who just wants to fuck shit up.

It's a strange view on the game.

GTA games you are always a criminal. The game encourages you to be basically a monster so why should you care if the characters stories show them to be scumbags?

My favorite GTA San Andreas my CJ had a kill count of over 4000 people. CJ was a likeable guy but in a GTA game I never ever try to play as saintly criminal.

I'm not sure I'd call someone killing over 4000 people a likeable guy.

CJ the character in the game was likeable.

CJ being controlled by me was a supercriminal. :D

I figure if the army is going to come after me I needed to live up to that.

Double holy shit if you've played the Lost and the Damned from GTA4.

So how many old characters has everyone run into? So far for me it's just been:
Packie via Franklin where he's trying to rob a store and failing.
Johnny in Trevor's intro mission
