it's when fanboys want minutia addressed on a show that will never address such details, and instead try to stifle other fans' explanations with a new word they just learned: "fanwank."
Ex:
Fanboy 1: "In Evil Dead II, Ash's chainsaw-hand CLEARLY switches hands when he is in the basement. When will Sam Raimi address how this could happen? It doesn't make sense."
Fanboy 2: "Well, maybe Ash walked by a mirror or--"
Fanboy 1: "Ha! Fanwank!"
Fanboy 2: "What does that mean?"
Fanboy 3: "It's when fanboys want minutia addressed on a show that will never address such details, and instead try to stifle other fans' explanations with a new word they just learned: 'fanwank.'"
