I never went to summer school in high school. I just sat around on the internet downloading shit.

I went to summer school last year for Shakespeare, which was fun.

I always hated math. I was kinda decent at it, but it bored me to tears. I guess that's what drew me to English class. I had a knack for grammar and poetry.

My brother is the opposite. He double majored in math AND physics.

I'm not bad at math but I don't like it.

And I hope to not go to summer school. The only reason I would is to knock something out of my schedule and create more room.

It's been my experience that most, if not all, English majors hated math as a kid. And the opposite is true for many Math majors.

I was an English major who despised math with a passion. Except for Algebra. For some bizarre reason, I liked that subject and was pretty good at it.

A little known fact about me, I took math right through high school, and even took the three OAC maths (OAC = qualifying courses for university). I did well enough in Calculus, semi-decent in Finite, but horribly in Algebra. I came around in OAC when I realized that I didn't agree with the principles of math and science and the lack of creativity in the subject. Thus I went into English because I just can't stomach business or social sciences.

There's a history of excellence in mathematics in my family. I just broke the mold and went into the arts even though there's a history of that too in my family. My grandmother was going to go into English lit before she was forced to marry.

No, really.

That's what you get when you turn the answer upside down on a calculator.

Same here exactly!

But then I ended up managing cash offices, so my Maths is really good nowadays...

I'm lucky, where I work, the only math I have to do is making sure the defendants get exactly the right amount of time the Judge sentences them to. Of course, that's not math you want to screw up, either. LOL!

I hate it, too. I don't know why I became an economics major.
