That's what I like to do. Love GFAP. But like you suggested, it's probably best to just skip Human Touch and Lucky Town (Tom Joad's okay in it's own way)
Not all that big a fan of The Rising but I've liked everything since then.

He's got a few decent songs but he's the most overrated rocker of all time IMO. Not sure how rock gets worse if he never existed.

I'd start with Greetings from Asbury Park, probably my favorite Bruce record. It's very "70's" sounding, but amazing.

Strangely, The Ghost of Tom Joad is the only album of his I've ever gravitated towards. I like some of his individual songs from other albums, though.
