From 2001 to 2010, I had yard sales at least every other year.
I would put out some longboxes and have them ridiculously low-priced (25 cents per issue, sometimes 2 issues for 25 cents) and never sold a single issue.

Really?? That's crazy, how bad could your comics have been? :?

Query: Did you hit up the local craigslist and other free local outlets with comics in the tagline? I do that before any sale from yard sales to flea markets I'll be at, and it draws out the buyers for cheap comics en masse.

(Those kids were just from down the block, I thought it was cool because they pretty much had much better taste than the adults who drove in. They were buying Ditko reprints and Astro City. So these days I try not to run them over in the street or anything.)

I would have bought all your comics for 2/quarter probably and sold them for $1-$2 each. 8)

WTF is this rank?

I started buying with Identity Crisis and stopped buying after Blackest Night. I've got 7-8 longboxes from that period, and a full size bookshelf of trades.

Everything I get now is digital. I've got a couple dozen trades and I'm buying three ongoings. It takes up much less space.

I've gone from 250 comics a month down to about 50.

It's a little hard for me to guess as the bulk of my collection is trades and I just recently purged about 2 long boxes full of comics.

I guess around.....4,000-5000 maybe?

Not sure about Royce. He was not banned but think just moved on to greener pastures.

Problem with my habit was I did the long box math on the amount of books per month and I was running out of space within a couple more years. Plus as my wife said, how are the kids going to handle all these books when I'm gone.

But at the end of the day, I just had not taste in comics, I'd buy the good and the bad and always find something good. Then I sat down with my wife went through my pull list and she help me eliminated a ton of books.

My kids are going to have instructions to fill a boat with whatever of my FF collection they don't want. Then load my body into said boat cover the whole thing in lighter fluid and light it up.

Nerdy viking funeral baby.

Of course.

I'm a Ben man in my heart but light you're dad on fire while screaming "Clobbering Time" just doesn't fit.

True story my sister's cat peed on all my FF comics when I was 15. At that time it consisted almost entirely of DeFalco stuff since he was the current writer.

At the time I was angry as hell but in retrospect it was clearly a sign.
