In an interview with G4’s Attack of the Show, Incredible Hulk director Louis Leterrier dropped a few news bits about the upcoming film, including that the original Hulk, Lou Ferrigno did take him up on his offer at the New York Comic-Con to provide the voice for the Jade Giant in the film, as well as appear in a small role in the coming movie.
And perhaps what will grab comics fans attention was the revelation of an Avengers-themed Easter Egg, noting that, while Captain America’s sheild was seen (for eagle-eyed viewers) in Iron Man, Captain America himself makes a brief appearnace in The Incedible Hulk. Leterrier also said that he would love to direct a sequel to the film if this summer’s movie is successful enough to warrant one.

Addressing the Edward Norton controversy, the director said that there were disagreements between himself and Norton on the film’s first cut, in regards to what was cut. Leterrier said that it was a normal process between himself, Norton and Marvel; and that the WGA had the final say on who received screenwriting credit for the film, which resulted in Norton’s screenwriting credit being removed from the film.

That's a cool little Easter Egg.

I didn't catch Cap's shield in the Iron Man movie.

Me neither. I'm certain I'll catch it in my copious viewing of the DVD... when it's eventually released. :)

I know that this sort of ties into the Ultimates storyline where Banner was trying to recreate the Super Soldier serum instead of just building a better bomb. I'm guessing that Cap's appearance will be part of that.

So cool that Tony's making a guest shot. I love the interconnectivity that Marvel's producing. :)

What I like about it is that it's not a big deal in the movies, they can survive without the Easter eggs, but it hints at a bigger world. I can't wait for the payoff.

Hulk Director Louis Leterrier dropped a bomb in an interview last weekend saying that Captain America was IN his Incredible Hulk movie. Now, he's admitted that the scene actually ended up on the cutting room floor--but will be in the DVD...

Leterrier obviously was building-up hype for the Hulk's release this Friday the 13th, but hardcore fans who've seen early showings of the film have been expressing their disappointment to us here at CBM that Steve Rodgers, a.k.a. Captain America was nowhere to be seen. One such fan reported that he even scanned every soldier that appeared onscreen for the good Captain's blue-eyes, and found none.

In the earlier interview with Collider, Leterrier refused to give any hints as to where it would appear, saying, "It's an Easter egg. It's not like oh, it's Captain America and it changes everything. It's still a Hulk movie, but it's really Captain America and it's there, you'll see. It's the real deal. You have to look for it."

Now, speaking to SOS Hollywood, Leterrier revealed that the scene was cut. "There's a point when Bruce Banner gives up on his quest for the cure and decides to kill himself. So he travels far North and reaches the Arctic Circle. You might have seen bits of it in some of the promos. The result was a very dark and strong scene, which Marvel, me and everyone else considered to be too hard to young audiences to take, so we've cut it. Having that said, when Bruce arrives at his destination he meets up with Captain America! At some point this week, we will make it available on the internet – but I cannot tell you where or when – and the material will definitely be on the DVD."

The Captain America shield bit was in the scene where Pepper caught Stark getting out of the armour apparently.
In think somebody posted a pic on Newsrama before the switch.
It wasn't very clear though, just a bit of red behind him.
Might be easier to make out when watching the scene.
