It is FCBD.

I just got off the phone with the manager at my LCS. He's setting aside some freebies to make sure I get them. There's also evidently a bunch of Iron Man movie swag being given away as well.

I'm going to stop by my LCS on the way to work.

My friend called me to let me know. I had to explain my lack of interest in comics. We then chatted for a bit, and it was good to catch up. Looks like FCBD wasn't a total bust. Besides, the weather has been horrendous all day.

I stopped by the comic shop near my new place. They had a limit of 3 per person, so I picked up the X-Men issue, Broken Trinity Prelude, and the Project Superpowers issue. I haven't read any of them yet.

Woo hoo! GCom's had a sale! 40% off back issues and 25% off trades!

I bought an Illuminati tpb and Iron Man #129. In light of the movie, I think that will be a sought after back issue.

Limits aren't a problem in Victoria, for two reasons. One, all our shops are on the same short block. You just go from one to the other. Stop by them all. Two, one of the shops has a 'take all you'll read' policy.

I can go back tomorrow and pick up some more (of whatever they have left). They didn't order everything from FCBD either.

I was glad I got there before the X-Men book was gone.

My store let you take one of each book, so I got quite a few.

Today I picked up the FCBD issues of Hellboy, Impact University, and Marvel Adventures. I was hoping the Atomic Robo issue would still be there.

I usually like the AdHouse and Fantagraphics books bestest. I didn;t get anything this year, but I didn;t see anything I really wanted. Marvel have been pretty good the past couple of years, but Greg Land doesn't really make me wanna look at a comic.
