Johnny Depp in Once Upon A Time in Mexico...

Postby rdrsfn82 » Sat Jun 21, 2008 12:52 pm

..is fucking awesome. We should all bow down to his greatness in that movie.

It's on TNT right now, and despite the fact it is an edited version of the movie that takes away some of that awesomeness, it's still really good. Once he loses his eyes the level of badassery goes through the roof. I highly recommend checking this out if you've never seen it.

He is awesome in everything. I love his two roles in Before Night Falls, if we are talking about lesser known movies of his.

And that is the best line in the whole movie. Barely beating the line about killing the chef.

Johnny Depp was indeed awesome in Once Upon A Time In Mexico. He stole that movie away from Antonio Banderas, IMO.

"El, you really must try this because it's puerco pibil. It's a slow-roasted pork, nothing fancy. It just happens to be my favorite, and I order it with a tequila and lime in every dive I go to in this country. And honestly, that is the best it's ever been anywhere. In fact, it's too good. It's so good that when I'm finished, I'll pay my check, walk straight into the kitchen and shoot the cook. Because that's what I do. I restore the balance to this country."

God that was a great monologue. I bought the movie when I saw it was on sale for $5. Best $5 I ever spent.
