Just watched the latest episode of Valvrave, also it's the season ender, and wow is this a good anime. They story is definitely heading into the onion type with lots of layers to it. This really is one of the best animes I've seen this year and in a while. Just keeps getting better. With Gargantia also being so damn good, I think we really are approaching a new silver age of giant robot anime. Something not seen since the golden age of the 80s.

Can't wait for season two to start.

"Oh, the pointing again! They're screwdrivers! What are you going to do? Assemble a cabinet at them?"
"Are you capable of speaking without flapping your hands about?"
""Timey" what? "Timey wimey"?"

Because this thread is nothing compared to the original?

VIDEO: "Valvrave" Season Two Preview

Needless to say, there's plenty of anticipation for October's second season. And, needless to say, be aware the promo for that season is potentially packed with spoilers if you haven't finished the first.

Well that's good.

Hayao Miyazaki Denies That The Wind Rises Is His Final Work
Acclaimed anime film director Hayao Miyazaki gently denied with a wry smile that his upcoming film, The Wind Rises (Kaze Tachinu), will be his "last testament." During Monday's press conference to celebrate the completion of the film, he said, "[Studio Ghibli producer Toshio Suzuki] likes to say stuff like that. I told him, 'A last testament is what you leave behind when you're dying, but I think I'll live a little bit longer.'"

Happy Birthday to Sailor Moon!

While a lot of anime character birth date come from supplementary material, Sailor Moon helpfully declares hers in the series itself. And, of course, the June 30th birthday is shared by Chibi Usa.
