Oh THAT's what all that Kerororin crap is...

Sgt. Frog Invades Japanese Public Bath!

Kadokawa's YouTube anime channel has posted the first promotional video for "Okerororin Project," a collaboration project between Mine Yoshizaki's long-running popular comedy manga series Sgt.Frog/Keroro Gunsou and Naigai Yakuhin, a long-established pharmaceutical company based on Toyama Prefecture.

One of the famous products of Naigai Yakuhin is "Kerorin Oke," a yellow-colored yuoke (bucket for hot water) which is usually used in public baths in Japan.

Just watched it in its entirety. that was a crazy series

Got extremely dark, twisted and violent and there was so much deep stuff happening all over the board that required you to pay close attention to the story. The shift it Rock's personality made me disappointed I'll have to wait years for the next installment to see where the character goes from here. By the end of it he showed the potential to be the most dangerous person in the show with how he manipulated everyone with subtle guidance rather than Chang's full-blown forced manipulations..and no one even realises it.

Ending was also pretty bleak with a 'no one truly wins' scenario despite everything getting resolved.

you shouldn't trope that which you don't watch, totally not it for politeness judo

and i'd say more hollow/bittersweet victory over downer ending. the the maid got grounded back into sanity after shooting the one she was meant to protect and at the end of all the fighting lost an eye, arm and leg and fingers on her other hand reducing her to a cripple who now is the one that needs to be cared for in a cruel twist.

rock thought by manipulating the US commandos into capturing the triad's man in the golden triangle itd be the beginning of order in the island as they'd finally take notice of it...instead everything stayed as is and they moved on to deposing other powerful figurehead leaders so it was a close but not close enough scenario. and in the end when his master plan was revealed everyone realised that the one they thought was incorruptible and the most moral wasnt even immune to the corrupting influence of a city built on crime and corruption and ended up adapting and changing to fight back against it.

so yeah it was more a highlight on despite all this death and carnage everything was put together in the end again but somehow broken from this.

on its own outside of the larger character progressions it was a great look at how revenge ultimately just ends up causing more grief. while the earlier ep's were more or less popcorn flicks with violence, black humor and a general look at the worst of humanity this actually got downright disturbing duringr the scene where the colombian commando is beaten to death.

the jungle fight in the last ep was crazy though.

"Don't"?? I haven't seen it YET. Key word: YET. I've seen the first series. :P

Zechs isn't gonna like what they've done to Roberta, huh...

Protagonist Journey to Villain

I don't care what Fieldy don't allow!
Gonna trope this series anyhow!! :P

Yeah, that was the original series' intent. Good to hear that this run aims for more.

don't think he's a villain, more an antihero. the death of the yakuza daughter from second barrage finally made him snap to the point where he pushed back on chang aka the john woo inspired former gun-fu cop.

that's something for you to trope there :P
