Let's see... I had almost half a bottle.
Had a couple of drinks yesterday.
4 glasses of red wine today.
And tomorrow we have a family lunch, the kind you can survive without alcohol.
Crazy week, eh?

I only have one event on Thursday 15th, so looks like next week will be a bit boring.

Some of these make perfect sense, others... whaatt?

Doraemon Anime's Visual & Script Changes for U.S. TV Detailed

The Oricon Style website reported on changes that the Doraemon television anime is undergoing before its American television premiere this July. The Disney XD channel will run 26 episodes of the quintessential Japanese anime about a robot cat. The anime has been adapted for America's culture and customs, as well its strict guidelines on violence, depictions of discrimination, and depictions of sexual content.

The adaptation will move the setting from Japan to a fictional place in America. The robot cat Doraemon will still be Doraemon, while Doraemon's owner Nobita is now "Noby," the bully Gian is now "Big G" (Gian's original name is a wordplay on the English word "giant"), and the spoiled kid Suneo is now Sneech to invoke the word "sneer."

Beachside Novel Kurage no Shokudō Has Anime in the Works

An anime adaptation of Miyako Aoyama's serialized light novel Kurage no Shokudō (literally, Jellyfish Restaurant) is "moving steadily along." The 38th issue of Starchild and Kodansha Box's digital literary publication BOX-AiR debuted this month with confirmation of this anime, the third one under the BOX-AiR program.

In the story, the protagonist finds himself lying on the beach one day. He is picked up by Arashi, who manages a restaurant called Kurage no Shokudō. When asked who he is, the protagonist tells a lie that he lost his memory — but he remembers everything, including the fact that his twin brother died.

Samurai Deeper Kyo's Kamijyō to Launch Manga About Wind-Instrument Music

This year's 11th issue of Kodansha's Evening magazine is announcing on Tuesday that Akimine Kamijyō (Samurai Deeper Kyo, Code:Breaker) will launch a new manga titled Tansansuibu in the following issue on May 27. The manga will begin with a 34-page chapter, including eight color pages in the beginning and a "mysterious, surprising" four more color pages. The manga will also adorn the cover of the issue for a grand total of 13 color pages.

The story centers around Shintarō Taki, a boy who just entered high school. While wandering around looking for an afterschool activity to join, he comes across the wind instrument band. The members are all somewhat odd. Plus, there is a secret within the band that no one else knows.

This will be Kamijyō's first appearance in a seinen manga magazine. Akimine and Evening also note that this master of fantasy battle manga is trying something new.
