Well... since the original Anime and Manga thread is kind of bubbling and brewing, I thought I'd start a temporary/interim thread. Hopefully things calm down a bit in the real thread and regular news and conversation can resume there.

The next issue of ASCII Media Works' Dengeki PlayStation magazine lists an anime adaptation that has been green-lit to go along with Compile Heart's Kami Jigen Game Neptune V (God Dimensional Game Neptunia V) game.
NIS America released the earlier Hyperdimension Neptunia and Hyperdimension Neptunia mk2 games in North America. All three games anthropomorphize the game console wars as female role-playing game characters.
Record of Lodoss War Author Ryo Mizuno revealed in posts to his Twitter account earlier this month that he would be revising his 1988 Record of Lodoss War: The Grey Witch for a new edition to be published by Kadokawa Shoten in time for it and the Kadokawa Sneaker Bunko light novel imprint's 25th anniversaries.
The October issue of Dengeki G's Magazine is revealing on Thursday that the upcoming Vividred Operation anime series, headed by Kazuhiro Takamura (Strike Witches), will premiere on Japanese television next January.
Production on a sequel to the 3D CG anime After School Midnighters (Hōkago Midnighters) has been green-lit. In the slapstick comedy story, a human anatomical model and a skeleton come to life in a science classroom at St. Claire Elementary School.
The wraparound jacket band on the 12th volume of Akira Suzuki's Hyakka Ryōran Samurai Girls novel series is announcing this month that production on a second television anime season has been green-lit.
The series' story is set in the early 21st century — except in this alternate world, the Tokugawa shogunate never lost power and Japan maintained its enforced seclusion from the rest of the world. At a giant academy for children of military families at the foot of Mt. Fuji, the student council enforces the suppression of rebellious elements. (Many of the students carry the names of famous historical figures.)
Shogakukan's Club Sunday website began streaming a new trailer for the Magi - The Labyrinth of Magic television anime series. The trailer first ran during the Comic Market (Comiket) 82 event earlier this month.
Namco Bandai Games began streaming "Koto, Shujinkō, Kaku Katariki" (Thus Spoke Koto, the Heroine), the first 11-minute episode from the second batch of Kyousogiga anime episodes, on Friday. (The episode title is a wordplay on Nietzsche's Thus Spoke Zarathustra/Also sprach Zarathustra novel.)
