The only good thing about this is that it brings the republican party one step closer to its demise as they move further and further to the right. If they continue on this path that they are on they will self destruct. Which is fine by me.

Things like that aren't the party; they're just the morons you get when you have any large group of people.

Thank them because the teabaggers pushed him to victory in the Senate primary; they gave him to us. Comparing him to a Minnesota state legislator? That's the minor leagues, bro. Akin is a member of the US House, the GOP nominee for a high-profile Senate seat, and last year he cosponsored a bill with Paul Ryan to redefine the definition of rape in federal statutes. Please tell me what important policy changes that Minnesota guy was pushing through that are affected by what he does in a rest stop bathroom. The whole false equivalency tactic of comparing 2 people or things that have no correlation whatsoever might work for the retards that watch Faux News, it's not gonna work for educated, rational individuals.

But rational people don't use terms like "faux news" and "teabaggers" in polite discussion. :p I anyways this Akin guy isn't worth my breath, let alone my anger. He will get what's coming to him... you don't just say stuff like that and get away with it.

Well, you could go with say for example, Robert Byrd, the Democratic Senator and KKK member...

Just for one example.

There are many others.

Ditto, in a big way.

My condolences to the rest of our American Cousins but remember, it's nothing but igloos and eskimos up here. You wouldn't like it at all.

You mean the former KKK member who quit in...the late 40s? I happen to recall him disavowing his behavior and involvement with the Klan.

I also heard some right-winger bring up Ted Kennedy and Chappaquiddick in relation to this. That one is well over 40 years old...you got anything relevant?

Hab thinks this is OHG...

Back to the thread... the guy is a super douche and hope that he never has a female relative that has to go through the horror of rape. He won't step down so he lost his campaign already. What a retard.

Let's not destroy the Republican Party because of one person. If that was the case, the Dems would have imploded a long time ago.

Is Nancy still talking to ghosts? :P :-D

Your talking points memo is about a decade out of date, Robert Byrd has been dead for years. You need to update your shit, son.

Even if Robert Byrd was still alive and in the Senate, I'm not sure what relevance his being in the KKK in the '40s has to do with modern women's rights and abortion policy. Did KKK members constantly rape and impregnate women, and the ghost of Robert Byrd pushed through legislation trying to get them off the hook? Where are you even going with that?

lets keep up with the science

Rep. Steve King: I’ve Never Heard Of A Girl Getting Pregnant From Statutory Rape Or Incest

Rep. Steve King, one of the most staunchly conservative members of the House, was one of the few Republicans who did not strongly condemn Rep. Todd Akin Monday for his remarks regarding pregnancy and rape. King also signaled why — he might agree with parts of Akin’s assertion.

King told an Iowa reporter he’s never heard of a child getting pregnant from statutory rape or incest.

“Well I just haven’t heard of that being a circumstance that’s been brought to me in any personal way,” King told KMEG-TV Monday, “and I’d be open to discussion about that subject matter.”

Utterly unbelievable that anyone could say that. He really hurt the Republicans there. Hopefully, he goes away and is never heard from again. That said, in the interest of equal opportunity, there are morons in both parties.

Well, let's see.... Barney Frank, who asks us to believe he didn't know his boyfriend was running a gay prostitution ring out of their apartment. Serial pervert Weiner. Shady house deals Obama.

Besides, the point isn't how long ago these people did something, but that both sides have scum. As opposed the idea that somehow only the Republicans do. As promoted in this thread.
