I just got home from seeing this.
It was good, but not great.
I think the cast was excellent, except for Amy Adams. I generally like her, but she just didn't work as Lois for me, though neither did the Lois character in this movie. Jor-El and Jonathan Kent, both played by actors that I don't generally like, were probably the best handled parts.
Krypton was amazing and I would have liked to see more of that, but I didn't like the 3-D technology stuff. It reminded me too much of these:
There was way too much "disaster porn" in this movie. Smallville was pretty much decimated, and downtown Metropolis looked to be mostly leveled. None of this was Superman's fault, but that of the military and Zod. The military fired into the center of Smallville while the Kryptonians were knocking the planes out of the sky, and the World Builder flattened downtown Metropolis, not Superman.
The fight between Superman and Zod was fierce. I feel as though the neck snap was the only choice, and one that wasn't made lightly. Superman was clearly shaken afterwards.
And finally, ENOUGH WITH THE SHAKY OUT OF FOCUS CAMERA BULLSHIT!
