I think the network shows have given up. They know they can't match the quality of Breaking Bad, House of Cards and Orange is the New Black.

Or show tittays.

I think they're just getting more desperate. It doesn't hurt that clowns steer the ships either.

I'm keeping my excitement for "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." in check. Sorry but I don't subscribe to the theory that Joss Whedon can do no wrong.

The last two seasons of "B.T.V.S." were awful. I mean an unwatched train wreck that ruined everything we loved about the characters. (Okay, Dark Willow was kinda cool. But...) Angel started off okay but soon we all just wanted it to die, which it did. "The Dollhouse" was just garbage wrapped around Eliza Dushku's bad acting. And "Cabin in the Woods" was a series of cool moments in an extremely "meh" movie.

Yes, "Doctor Horrible's Sing-Along Blog", "Firefly" and "Serenity" and "The Avengers" were all magic. But much like Lord Tywin Lannister, Whedon does not shit gold. And three of the she Agents in "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." look way too young to be actual field agents for an elite espionage agency which leads me to believe the show will lack a certain amount of maturity.

But we'll see. I'll be watching tonight.

I'm afraid to watch The Dollhouse because, Tore Simonsen.

He was before your time, and gone from us too quickly.

He was too big for this place, anyway. And at that point, he still had work to do.

To be fair, the last two seasons of Buffy wasn't necessarily Joss's fault Marti Noxon was the showrunner..

They broke into it here 1 minute into the show because there was a real life explosion at police headquarters downtown.

At first I thought it was bad TV writing.

Apparently Coulson's been telling folks that he was dead for a little while and Fury faked his death to make the Avengers come together as a team. Like we all thought.

But now the doctor and Agent Hill mention how he THINKS he was in Tahiti and can never know the truth.

hmmmmmm...

HA! "Journey Into Mystery"! 8)

True story, I used to live in Uptown on Kenmore and I lived above this total jerk named Randy who worked from home composing the kind of shitty synthesizer music in shows like SHIELD. Fucking shit hasn't changed in 20 years.

And yes, some painfully clunky dialogue.
