After the Ward intro which I found decent it was taking a while for it to click for me. Skye was just plain annoying. The lab kids were way too bubbly too.

Clark Gregg, Ming Na and J August Richards did great. The Coulson mystery is interiguing for people that followed the movies.

When Richards went bad I felt thats when the pace changed and I enjoyed it more.

It's definately a sc-fi superhero show and requires a massive suspension of disbelief to make it through. But then again it is set in the MU movieverse which definitely takes more liberties with realism than MoS and Nolan's Batman.

I enjoyed it quite a bit. Some of the team doesn't work for me yet (the two science Brits were annoying), but on the whole good stuff.

And the flying car was fucking awesome and anybody who says otherwise should be permabanned, hung, resurrected, and then shot in the balls.

Maybe if they'd allocated more of their budget to it it would've been :P

It was very cool in concept, and I did mark out when I saw it even though I knew it was coming from the second we saw it in the first promos... but man, that shot of it flying away was bad.

I didn't mind them being bubbly so much as their uber-techno-babble. They spewed out more gobbledy-gook than Geordi LaForge would have done in a whole season of Star Trek TNG. And they said it so fast that half the time I couldn't figure out what they were saying. I had DVRed it so I re-wound it once or twice, until I realized there was no point to trying to reason out exactly what they were saying (because it was all just fake/techno-babble).

It was a step or two above Sleepy Hollow's pilot episode. Definitely a WiP, but one that's worth keeping on the DVR for a few weeks.

The tech fiends need some working. But overall, I liked it and that A.I.M. is basically still out there. Also any ideas who we saw in the teaser for stuff to come? Red Skull groupies?

They were the most annoying part of the show. Dueling accents that you could barely understand they were saying at times when combined with technobabble.

Show was a solid B. It might have been nice if this was a two-hour premiere, but the plot probably wouldn't have held up.

The Avengers movie, despite all it's flaws, made a ton of cash and might be spawning a successful franchise. Couldn't they have gotten all sorts of good actors to audition for SHIELD? It felt like a bunch of talent agents threw the cast together over martinis for lunch to try and make TV actors of them and get their cuts.

Maybe things will get better as it goes along.

If it's going against NCIS and The Voice, it's gonna need all the help it can get.

But at least it's not on a Friday night death slot.

Really really enjoyed it.

I don't think Coulson's an LMD, feels like it's too obvious. I think the answer may be asgardian related myself. :smt102

I like the theory that Coulson is the Marvel Movie Universe version of the Vision. They couldn't actually save him, so they loaded his brainwaves into an LMD that will eventually get upgraded and reprogrammed by Ultron as a way to strike at the Avengers on a personal level. In the end, Coulson's humanity wins and he aids the Avengers in their final battle with Ultron.

I really think that character is going to be what happens to JARVIS. :smt102
