"Superhero blockbuster "Marvel's The Avengers" featuring Robert Downey Jr. and Scarlett Johansson has been chosen as Tribeca Film Festival's closing night film, festival organizers said on Wednesday. The big budget Hollywood film that is based on the Marvel comic book series, "The Avengers," first published in 1963, tells the story of the recruitment effort of Marvel Comics super heroes Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, Thor, Captain America, Hawkeye and Black Widow to save the world. Besides Downey Jr. returning in his popular "Iron Man" role, the ensemble cast includes Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Jeremy Renner, Tom Hiddleston and Samuel L. Jackson. The action adventure movie, one of the year's box office hopes, will close the Tribeca festival on April 28, and the festival has invited "everyday heroes" including police, fire department and military members to attend, Tribeca organizers said in a statement. It will open in U.S. cinemas on May 4."
I'm not a sports fan. Ballard killed that in the 70s.
Well, I guess that explains why he looks like Yoda without the green.

Considering all the "world building" that these Marvel movies have done, and considering that they want to do Guardians of the Galaxy, I have a hard time believing they would just throw some random unknown race into the movie. Everything should mean something. Even if they're irrelevant so far as this movie goes, their race being a known entitity from the comics may matter in any future cosmic movie.

I don't think it's true but it would be awesome if it was.
The mouths definitely look extremely Beta Ray Bill-ian. But it was pointed out to me yesterday by JV at OHG, that Beta Ray Bill was genetically altered by his people to look like that. Normal Korbinites look more normal.. I completely forgot that aspect of the character.
