Avengers Shot One More Scene After Film’s World Premiere

Even as the stars of Marvel’s The Avengers walked the red carpet Wednesday for the world premiere, they apparently still hadn’t finished work on the highly anticipated film.

“We are shooting one more scene … tonight,” Robert Downey Jr. said the next day at a press conference. “Not kidding.”

But, hey, it’s Robert Downey Jr. He’s not really serious, is he? That’s what director Joss Whedon insisted, telling Movieline, “He’s Robert, of course he’s kidding.”

Not so fast, Whedon. Mark Ruffalo backed Downey’s comment, confirming to The Playlist that, “We’re shooting a scene tonight. I’m not sure exactly where it’s gonna go. All I know is that someone came in with the costume and said, ‘Here’s some wardrobe. We don’t know where you’re going to be or what you’re doing.’ ”

Asked whether the scene will appear in The Avengers when it opens in theaters (as opposed to, presumably, a Blu-ray/DVD bonus feature), Ruffalo said, “Yeah. So I’m like, ‘All right, when are we doing that?’ Today after we’re done.”

Yea I just read that. I was re-watching Iron Man 2 and was wondering if they were gonna add a scene after the credits or not.

Marvel Studios prez Kevin Feige told Badass Digest that ‘while Fox has [the rights to] The Super Skrull, Marvel owns The Skrull Empire.’

Badass Digest continues ‘Well, it turns out that either he was jumping the gun or someone in legal didn’t want to test the difference between those two concepts, and the aliens in The Avengers have been rebranded as something else, as well as redesigned.’
