Also, these things appear to be normal sized.. or un-giant-like.

It's tough to tell how tall they are from this screenshot, but the set shots showed Cap fighting motion capture villains who were the same size as him, and he wasn't like.. looking up to fight them or anything.

Just occured to me, but I wonder if it could be the Dark Elves.

Malekith fits with Loki and the Casket of Ancient Winters. I doubt it, but I'll throw it out there.
