I just finished the Geth/Quarians subplot, and jesus..

I sided with the Geth, because.. come on. They totally got the shit end of the stick over the years from the Quarians. Using them as slaves, then basically wanting to kill them all when they no longer served a purpose? Dick move.

But then seeing the entire Quarian fleet get destroyed, and Tali commit suicide.. that was rough.

I take it you romanced Tali in game 2? I sided with the Geth and got peace between the two at the cost of Legion sacrificing himself. Which of course got invalidated with the destroy ending.

Did Mordin sacrifice himself to save the Krogan in your game?

Ah here we go:
To be presented with the option to forge Peace. You need to do the other two missions on the planet first and you must save the Admiral and not the civilians. And that results in Legion sacrificing himself for the peace.

If Legion becomes a squad member I might let her kill herself on my 2nd playaround.

I did the other two missions on hte planet first. I don't remember if I saved the civilians or the admiral.. I took a break between missions on the planet to go do shit on the Citadel.

Yeah, Tali didn't kill herself in my game (either of them), and I got both the Geth and Quarian fleets (again, in both games). I supported Tali over Xen; supported Raan over Gerrel; chose all paragon choices in dialogue with Tali on the Normandy and on Rannoch; and I saved the Admiral of the citizen fleet. I didn't romance her in ME2; got her and Legion to cooperate in ME2; I agreed to hide her dad's incriminating evidence; rallied support for her at her trial; chose to rewrite the Heretics...Can't remember what else I did regarding Tali and Legion in ME2. Maybe if you've done any of this shit differently, it could lead to a different outcome.

So, I tried multiplayer. That ruins my experiment, but whatever. Played with my fiance. She's been playing the ios game...what is it...Infiltration or some shit like that? Tried to get my buddy to join the game, but that didn't work out.

I didn't see any lag problems at all. But shit is really kinda fucktarded. I guess I had the hope that if you'd completed the SP campaign, you'd get some MP benefits for that. Like unlocked weapons or powers or whatever the fuck.

Fuck EA/Bioware and their goddamn microtransactions, though. Nickle & diming cocksuckers. Did manage to pick up a Mattock and that son of a bitch was useful as hell. Lotta headshot kills.

I dunno about you guys, but me and multiplayer do NOT get on well. I was expecting enemy difficulty to be more akin to what it is in the game on Normal. Maybe you guys found it easy, but I thought the enemies had a distinct aversion to dying when they get shot in the face. Way tougher than in the game, and that was merely on "Bronze." Be nice if maybe they had a Lead" setting.

Any sort of tactics goes out the window when fuckers can just spawn in behind you. Since it was just the two of us, it was even more difficult. I can't see doing really well in that shit with less than four people unless you're some kinda uber-gamer who's never touched a vagina.

After about 2 hours, we managed to increase our Galactic Readiness scores by 2%. Probably try again tomorrow night, but my patience for it wears thin. Was still cool though to team up with her.

I played one multiplayer round where I was expecting keeps is like usual but I ended up hacking a terminal while my squad was covering me and a Marauder picked them off while I was stuck with the Vindicator aka the gun that has the worst assault rifle recoil I'd ever seen.

Went to level 2 XP and increased my readiness rating by 1% in that match. Are you guys playing on PC or console?

I've been playing some Multiplayer. I kind of hate it but I really don't like spending hours scanning every planet looking for space junk either.

It's frustrating that this is in the game because I really don't see what the purpose is to connect it to the single player campaign except for pure greed. EA wants you to buy game brand new and nothing else is acceptable to them. It's douchebaggery and really hurts my opinion of Bioware. It's funny because I remember a while ago EA seemed to shake their image as an asshole of a company. Guess the honeymoon is over.

I haven't finished it yet(just about to go to Cerberus and kick some Illusive Man ass)but I've enjoyed the game so far. It's not as good as 2 or 1 but I'm not disappointed as I was with Dragon Age 2. I don't think the ending will effect my view on the game too much but we'll see.

Lag annoys me, especially at my early levels. When I melee an enemy to death they somehow manage to get me back after and take away my shields. Same thing with finishing them up close, in one split second they get off a last gasp AFTER I've killed them.

So far I am enjoying the game but then again, I am taking it slow. I haven't went back to Tuchanka yet because I heard that if you pass the Tuchanka missions then you have gone past the point where you can finish several side-missions.

At this point I am still disappointed in the lack of most of my past squad members. Getting Garrus early relieved some of my concerns but I still can't stand to use Liara or James so I have to pick EDI or Javik. One thing that concerns me is that I told Miranda (in her first all-too brief cameo) that our relationship is still on, then later when talking to Liara's "father" she implies that I am her daughter's boyfriend, despite the fact that I have treated her daughter with mild neglect and have never actively attempted to pursue a relationship with her. I really hope this doesn't screw up the relationship with Miranda.

Another thing that bugs me is the inclusion of IGN's Jessica Chobot as Diana Allers. With 2 established, human reporters in the Mass Effect universe, Allers inclusion feels incredibly shoehorned. Granted, like I said, i am not that far into the game but Allers appears to be absolutely useless at this point. Why couldn't her role have been filled by Emily Wong or the other reporter whose name is too long but has been hounding you since the first game?

I dunno. Chobot's main qualification for the career she currently enjoys seems to be the ability and willingness to lick things while being photographed.

She works for IGN and G4? I thought it was just G4. Anyway, some folks were complaining about a conflict of interest on her part.

360.

Yeah, you start to increase your GR, but the thing you realize is that it's an average score, based on the readiness of all Theaters of War on the galaxy map.

Like, I got the Attican Traverse, or one of those goddamned places up to 58%, because that's where we were playing the most. Everywhere else was like 51 or 52, so my overall GR was only 53%

And that shit started declining almost immediately as soon as I got off-line. I shit you not. ALMOST IMMEDIATELY.

They've never shaken it. Even South Park has parodied it.

Oh, I didn't know she works for G4 as well. As a whole, her inclusion in this game just doesn't feel right. It felt painfully forced and poorly executed, plus her voice acting was horrendous. Like I said, I would have preferred that they would have allowed her role to have been filled by one of the other established human journalists and dedicated the memory that her character used to other aspects of the game.

Indeed.

At any rate, I remain doubtful about the whole idea that you can reach 5000GR without Multiplayer. I've read that the minimum is 4000 for the perfect ending, and if that's true, I'm close to that.

But I'm only two missions away from the final segment of the game. There is only one more system to explore (hasn't unlocked in the story yet so I cannot access it). All of the other systems sit at 100% explored.

The biggest obstacle I've faced is the fact I chose to save the Council in the first game, which has dropped my Alliance rating by about 45. But I don't see how that is significant enough a decrease to make a difference.
