Well, I finally finished the game. I enjoyed the ending a little more than I thought I would but that really isn't saying much. I tried to keep an open mind but there was just so much negativity about the ending.
Anyways, here are a few of my thoughts about the game as a whole.
1.) The Ending: I chose the Destroy option but I really wanted to have the option to tell the Catalyst that he/it was wrong. By forging peace between the Geth and the Quarians and gaining support of the Geth, I proved that the conclusion that all synthetic life will eventually rise up and destroy organic life is false. It is an assumption based upon ignorance of the Catalyst and never allowing organic life to evolve beyond a certain point.
2.) The Squad: I still maintain BioWare should have allowed players to customize and choose their own squad based upon the survival of their previous squad members and the inclusion of the newer options. If I wanted to recruit Miranda, Thane, Garrus, Tali, Wrex, EDI, and Legion but tell everyone else to piss off, that should have been an option given to me.
3.) Multiplayer: There is no reason to black this out, so I won't. Multiplayer should never factor in to the single-player campaign unless they gave us a co-op option. That being said, if they insisted on forcing multiplayer upon players, then once you raise your score it should have never lowered. If I played 3 multiplayer missions and my rating became 59%, it should have stayed at 59% until I played more multiplayer.
4.) Aside from that, I thoroughly enjoyed this series and I will be excited for future DLCs and perhaps future games.
