I just finished the game now.

Yeah, that ending wasn't great, but since my expectations have been lowered so much from all that I've been hearing, I do have to say that it wasn't as bad as I thought it might be. I definitely want to know what the hell happened to the supporting cast more than just seeing EDI and Joker on some planet as a strange Adam and Eve.

I do think it's kind of weird that after the credits the continuation point is just before the assault on the reaper base.

But I do find it funny that Chris watches this video but be bothered to watch the one I posted. :smt102

What's funny about it? I didn't feel like sitting through a 20 minute video one day. Today I did. But I did try to watch that video you posted the following day, and didn't make it very far, because that dude sounds like an even more boring and dull Al Gore, if that's possible. Dude needs to use some inflection in his voice.

I've been playing multiplayer...got my Soldier up to level 18. I'm annoyed that the names we give them don't appear in-game. Would've been funny to see Emile Heskey killing reapers left right and center :P

Huh.......on my 2nd playthrough with a EMS of 5400 Cortez actually survived the London mission.

Wonder if it's because I got it over 3k or because i completed all convo scenes with him.

Because of the conversations, I think. First time through, I didn't even know he had war assets to provide if you talked to him through every available conversation opportunity.

MP has given my 100% Galactic readiness, and 100% in each Theater. Promoted a level 20 Vanguard to become a permanent War Asset. I guess I know now why people tend to refuse to allow high level Vanguards to join them in public games. Along with Quarian Engineers, they've got some key advantages that other classes don't seem to enjoy. The Biotic Charge/Nova/Nova combination, and the Quarian Engineer's Sentry Turret that can be upgraded to fire rockets.

Yeah the Rogue Pilots. I ended up with a total of 6997 so I guess I missed out on 3 or so somewhere =/

I figured the most you get was upgrade unlocks in the medbay like when I unlocked Javik's power (which radically changed his final talk with Shepard btw, Instead of going to the Hanar homeworld to live like a king he passes his memory shard to Shepard to continue to pass the Prothean legacy through the man that finally defeated the Reapers while Javik will go to where his race is buried and kill himself.

Still didn't get to make TIM shoot himself though...apparently there was a chat requirement buried inside a submenu in Mars that I missed. Had to end up renegade shooting him. But I at least got the 5000 EMS Destroy secret ending in case the new ending DLC talked about in the below link taps into it:

I think that part of the game is just a test to see how many dicks you can willingly stuff up your own ass. It's to prepare you for all the cocks you will sit on in the ending.

Oh, you were rocking the Scorpion mere seconds ago? Here's a shitty M-3 Predator instead. Oh, were you a biotic ten seconds ago? Not any more, because of SUCK BALLS. Were you LITERALLY watching your companions to see exactly what happens to them and why they're not anywhere around you five seconds later? Oh well, because we've already got your money.

How many shots does it take to get to the center of Marauder Shields?

The world may never know.

There have been discussions about Klencory, and if it was a hint to the final end, for years on the official Mass Effect message boards. It's possible it was a hint, but I can see the arguments both for and against that being the case.

Just finished the game. A couple of random thoughts.
[Reveal] Spoiler: Click to Expand
You know what I liked about the Cerberus-controlled Normandy? They didn't skimp on the light bulbs. 'Cause you need a fucking flashlight to get around Alliance-controlled Normandy. That place is dark.

I think James is good people. I don't know why everyone hates him so much. :smt102

Just when I start to respect Udina, he proves to be an even bigger asshole than he was in the previous two games.

The last Prothean is a world-class prick.

Not showing Tali's face is bullshit.

I like how Conrad Verner called out how nonsensical it was that all weapons now have to use thermal clips.

I prefer Kelly Chambers the space slut, to Traynor.

I think it's kinda lame that you can't use any of the squadmates introduced in ME2. Unless you count EDI.

So at the end of the game, did Bailey and everyone on the Citadel die?

Speaking of the ending, I didn't like it that much. I'm not enraged by it like a lot of fans are. Just slightly disappointed. Kinda went out with a whimper. I wasn't expecting Shepard to ride off into the sunset or anything, but they could have at least given us a decent boss fight before bringing in the ghost kid.

Well, I finally finished the game. I enjoyed the ending a little more than I thought I would but that really isn't saying much. I tried to keep an open mind but there was just so much negativity about the ending.

Anyways, here are a few of my thoughts about the game as a whole.

1.) The Ending: I chose the Destroy option but I really wanted to have the option to tell the Catalyst that he/it was wrong. By forging peace between the Geth and the Quarians and gaining support of the Geth, I proved that the conclusion that all synthetic life will eventually rise up and destroy organic life is false. It is an assumption based upon ignorance of the Catalyst and never allowing organic life to evolve beyond a certain point.

2.) The Squad: I still maintain BioWare should have allowed players to customize and choose their own squad based upon the survival of their previous squad members and the inclusion of the newer options. If I wanted to recruit Miranda, Thane, Garrus, Tali, Wrex, EDI, and Legion but tell everyone else to piss off, that should have been an option given to me.

3.) Multiplayer: There is no reason to black this out, so I won't. Multiplayer should never factor in to the single-player campaign unless they gave us a co-op option. That being said, if they insisted on forcing multiplayer upon players, then once you raise your score it should have never lowered. If I played 3 multiplayer missions and my rating became 59%, it should have stayed at 59% until I played more multiplayer.

4.) Aside from that, I thoroughly enjoyed this series and I will be excited for future DLCs and perhaps future games.
