Some folks are reporting that they cannot import faces from saves from the previous two games. Bioware is aware of this glitch and is working on a fix. For PC users, a fan-made mod addresses this problem.

Yeah, I had to start a new game. :x

Still had a blast playing the little I could.

:-D Yeah!

He did redeem himself a little with the save on Mars though.

For once I don't seem to have a super-glitched game. My Shep's appearance imported just fine.

I'm about halfway through the mission on Mars and I have attempted to personally kill Liara and Kaiden about a dozen times already. Liara won't stop trying to tell me what to do and Kaiden won't stop with this Are you working with Cerberus/it's awfully convenient that they show up when you show up nonsense. Yup, definitely over the first 3 squad members that they force upon you.

I really really really want Legion though. Best tech guy by far.

Thane was dying in the last game, so his death here really isn't any surprise.

I heard about Mordin's death from the story leak a few months back.

There's just no reason to limit the characters you can have on your team. In ME2, at least, they had to structure the story in such a way that the final game would make sense no matter how you played through the game. That reason doesn't exist in ME3.

It's Ashley for me. I hate having her on the team after this and her BS in the last game.

This. In Mass Effect 3 you are literally trying to recruit everybody that you can to band together and save the universe. Since you are on the front line, it doesn't make any sense to me that you can't recruit your own squad based on the existing former squad members. For instance, when you are leaving Earth and James starts fighting with you about wanting to stay on Earth I should have been given the option to leave him there.. We should be able to have who we want on the team, maybe there could be consequences for not choosing certain characters, but once again, this being the final game in the Shepard trilogy, that should be our option.

I think that I said this before but for me, the only time that Ashley survived Virmire was during my very first play through. I learned my lesson when the game shoehorned her into a relationship with my Shepard. In all subsequent play throughs, I purposefully sent her to be cannon fodder and then left her ass on the planet. I never regretted that decision until I had to listen to Kaiden's dialogue during the first few missions of Mass Effect 3...although I am sure that Ashley's dialogue would be just as sanctimonious as Kaiden's.
