I didn't see the event, but I would be pissed too if I were considered the best in my event and yet failed to capture the gold. The window of opportunity is very small for gymnasts so it is unlikely she will get another chance. This was pretty much her only shot.

But hey, she is cute so she still has that going for her. :smt102

its not just that she didn't capture the gold her second vault was a total fail with her landing on her ass, compare to her first which left one judge mouth agape.

I think it's the obvious lack of sportsmanship that is making her the brunt of jokes.

I don't know that there is a lack of sportsmanship or just anger at her own performance.

Well in light of the recent news (to me) that she fell completely on her ass, then I can understand even more. I wouldn't so much call it unsportsmanship like conduct (though I can certainly see how some people would think so) but the poor girl is probably just beating herself up over completely blowing her one opportunity. Now I even feel more bad for her. :-(
