Courtesy of Bryan Singer's Twitter Account, we now know that Anna Paquin (Rogue), Ellen Page (Kitty Pryde), and Shawn Ashmore (Iceman) are all returning for X-Men: Days of the Future Past. Interestingly enough he thanks Brett Ratner for letting them live, despite the fact that he has already confirmed that Patrick Stewart will also return as older Professor X, a character who previously died in the third movie of the original X-Men trilogy.

He may or may not have died.

Wasn't he disintegrated? That's a pretty definitive way to die.

Looks like someone forgot to stick around after the credits.

Oh yeah, I watched it but I guess I forgot about that whole affair. Still, that seems like something that would need a little bit more explaining than just:

Magneto: Charles?! I watched you get disintegrated!

Xavier: I got better.

Unless, X-Men: Days of the Future Past really is a way to retcon X-Men 3 from existence. If that's the case, then this may be one of the best movies of all time.

Yes. Supposedly.

It would be.

It probably will change things. I don't mind that.

They're trying to get Wolverine back for it as well. Even if its just a cameo role.

I want Cyclops to be in it. I refuse to accept that he's gone in X3.

Me either. In fact, it would be nice if it would give us a relatively clean slate for the present day X-Men franchise. They don't really have to reboot it but a few changes here or there could allow the studio to recast and/or bring back some characters who would otherwise be left out of future projects.

You're all better than me as I would personally like it if they retconned Brett Ratner's hatchet job movie he did on the X-Men franchise.

Cyclops' resurrection or character repair is one of my biggest hopes.

I believe Singer is going to pretend that X 3: The Last Stand never happened-hopefully.

X3 is good insomuch that it wraps up the franchise. You can watch it once and you never have to watch it again.

If they decide to go back and alter the storyline so that they can somehow reboot after X2, that would be neat but I don't expect it. Even after X3 there's still a lot of room to develop new properties from that franchise even without some of the old franchise names attached, that would be great.

I don't expect it though. I had pretty moderate expectations with X-men First Class and was really happy even though I had some complaints.

they can't "pretend" that X-Men: The Last Stand didn't happen, they've already said "The Wolverine" takes place AFTER it.
