The movie's just gonna be called NINJA TURTLES.

No TEENAGE or MUTANT, which is odd, all of this is odd considering Nick's new cartoon...

I do not think nick will make as much if a power play as Hasbro's would with transformers. I like yes, go ahead.

TF 2 and 3 are quite possibly 2 of the worst bug budget movies I have EVER seen. They are terrible films with few redeeming qualities, and they made buttloads.

Actually you may be right as despite how dumbed down Michael Bay's films tend to be, the films will most likely do well. I mean look at those shitty Twilight movies as an example.

The main reasons why TF 2 & 3 sold were mainly because of Megan Fox and Rosey Huntington Whitley as well as all those big explosions. Those films were like Diehard with robots involved.

I have mixed feelings about that notion.

There is a few redeeming things for 3. Not any for 2. But I was into 3 until a certain point then shook my head at the genocidal Optimus Prime that was being shown on screen. And then weep at Megatron's fate.

My gripes with the 3rd one include how Megatron got reduced to being a side character in favor of making Sentinel Prime the main villain and how Megan Fox's character got that uncerimonious sendoff. I understand that Megan Fox was a bitch to Bay but they didn't have to ruin her character. It would have been better if they had killed her off and make her death be a focal point in the movie. Also, it sucks how Sam was portrayed as a scrub who couldn't get a job after graduating from college and helped to save the world several times with the Autobots.

TF 2 and 3 made bank because they were gigantic summer blockbusters that you just have to go to.

Diehard was awesome and should never be compared to those two. Maybe contrasted but never compared.

Don't disagree with you there, however, I was just pointing out that female eye candy is one Bay's trademark tactics to make his movies sell. As for the Diehard comparison, I meant that in the sense that all the Transformers films were basically action films with a lot of loud and heavy explosions which Diehard and various other of the genre are known for.

Ah Battle Royale had did it better with teenagers, this will not hold a candle to it.

"Look, it's so funny... if everyone was such a die-hard fan, they would know that the TCRI cannisters where the ooze comes from... that is alien ooze. Now I'm not saying what Michael said is exactly what the movie is, because we're sitting in a room now figuring everything out. So we don't know, but we are like Michael said... we're expanding it, and the expansion will be true to the mythology. I promise you. Fans will love it... Whatever mythology we're building on or expanding is coming from that guy, Kevin Eastman's head, who created the Turtles in the first place. And so everything will tie in with the mythology; fans will be extremely excited with what we're coming up with. A lot of it is stuff he's wanted to do for a long time, but just hasn't had the opportunity because now we have the budget and things on this film to expand it in the right way. And so, I'm happy that everyone is extremely passionate, and they will not be disappointed. It's all coming from the best possible place for this franchise."

So is the fellow saying that the turtles are NOT from another world, just the mutating agent? If so, that's less offensive. However, a Bay movie still has some level of built-in offensiveness.

If it flops, it's Paramount's fault.

Paramount marketing changed the name. They made the title simple. The characters you all remember are exactly the same, and yes they still act like teenagers. Everything you remember, why you liked the characters, is in the movie. This script is being developed by two very smart writers, with one of the original creators of Ninja Turtles. They care VERY MUCH about making this film for the fans. Everyone on this team cares about the fans. Just give them a chance. Jonathan the director, is a major fan of the whole franchise. HE'S NOT GOING TO LET YOU DOWN.

I was wrong about this. If my son cares about them being mutants, I do too. :D

It will sell regardless of whether the story is good or not. All the movie needs to sell is showing camera shots of April O Neil's ass and they're good to go.

I guess she will be leaning over the turtle's van in this movie?
