The live action ones only hold up if you have an eternally 12 year old mind trapped in an adult body. That was some sweet flute music to enhance his martial arts abilities.

Well at least I know I'm in the vast majority than the minority of this forum that think the original live action is the best TMNT movie. :-D

Yes. The vast majority of people with 12 year old minds trapped in adult bodies probably do agree with you.

And also, drunkards.

Bah... I cannot believe people here actually hate the original live action movie or enjoy the '07 more than it.

I liked the original when I was a kid, yes. I saw it again last year and couldn't sit through it.

Changing the Turtles from Mutants to Aliens screws with the entire concept of them.

how so? What sort of themes or personality traits are exclusive to mutants, that cannot be portrayed by alien characters?

the word "alien" and "mutant" are pretty interchangeable in this instance, especially when you can change that and still maintain 90 percent of their actual origin.

Only because you still haven't figured out a way to bring your allies back from the dead to turn them into unliving servitors or darkness.

mutant and alien are not interchangeable words. How do you figure they are "in this instance?" The only way their title will still make sense is if either a) they are mutants of their own race, or b) people just call them mutants not realizing they are actually aliens.

There is no evil chemical corporation that create "ooze", no rat traveling from Japan adopting a group of turtles. Huge, Huge difference.

Aliens and Mutants very different. Might as well make a streets sharks movie.
