Keep up the fight, Chris.

Don't give in or I'll come up there and beat the fuck out of you. :smt013

BTW, please rip into Punchy. He needs a good beating from time to time.

2 months is good. Now, let's see 2 years.

Kudos Bubba!

Any tips for those of us who could probably stand a lesson or two in anger management?

Now a break from lutz and asshattery...

Congratulations man, that's awesome to hear (not that it's tough, just glad you are toughing through it).

Keep up the (non-violent) fight man.

Okay back to normalcy.

This may sound bad, but the encouragement you get at those things sounds forced and overly enthused.

They talk as if you're a baby. I'm an alcoholic, not a simpleton. I like the advice and support my friends give me more. They just don't drink around me. Not that I'm asking them not to, they just don't

Still, it's hard.

I still go to the anger management stuff. I haven't ripped someone a new in two months either.

Understandable. I did NA meetings for a year and then couldn't stomach them anymore. But they can help when you need it. You ever need to talk about it, let me know. I've been there.

And again, congrats. 2 months seems like a short time in the grand scheme of things but when you're doing it it's an eternity.

2 months down! Good luck with the next 2 (and the 2 after that, etc).

There is certainly a mentality promoted by its members that their entire lives should be about AA, they should go to AA meetings all the time, they should encourage everyone else to go to AA, they should only associate with people from AA, etc etc etc. Well, I got that from NA, but same thing.

It has a place, and it can be a big help. And some people need to be about all AA, all the time. Some people don't. But the people that do think that everyone does. IMO. YMMV. I say this from experience.

Obviously, you're some skinny, single nerd living on the East Coast who probably derives value in life from wrestling matches, hoping that Wolverine gets to sleep with teenagers and engaging in casual drug use. You're literally the worst thing to happen to comics since Stan Lee.
