Keb, do you recommend Murs and 9th Wonder's Sweet Lord?

Was that one the free release? I recommend all things Murs, but 9th Wonder I'm not a big fan. I liked the first collab (3:16?) but lost interest after that. I do recommend the latest Murs album as well as The End of the Beginning and all the FELT stuff.

Dirty Projectors album is pretty sick. Nice indie rock sound.

It's the free one.

A couple pleasant surprises this month so far:

The Dirty Projectors - Swing Lo Magellan
Del the Funky Homosapien & Parallel Thought - Attractive Sin

It pays to buy random records sometimes :)

Just ordered my double vinyl copy of the new Testament album! 26 bucks compared to 16 for the CD but its worth it.

I paid $45 for the deluxe vinyl of El-P. Paying more for deluxe vinyl is always worth it.

Unfortunately the new Nile is import only on vinyl apparently and will set me back 50 bucks at the store. Time to look online.

"Import only" bullshit. Big chain stores usually pull that shit.

I have been pre-ordering like crazy. Gotta cop a DOOM preorder.

Well they said they wouldn't have it, though they could special order it. Even the label website doesn't have it listed but I saw it on the Euro site for around 50. Bummer.

Is your store a chain store or an independent retailer?

When they reissued Return to the 36 Chambers, I special ordered it from HMV because my regular store was like "What? I dunno" because they are usually horrible with preorders, but then they got it in like a week before HMV at a cheaper price. They've been getting copies in regularly too.

It has a really big welfare card :)

Bought a $5 copy of Superfly soundtrack and its warped beyond belief. If it was a store in the city and not in the boons I wouldn't see that shit in crates. Hella pissed.

Everything else is good though. Also bought:

Al Green - Lets Stay Together
Bad Brains - I Against I
The Clash - Combat Rock.

I understand this isn't new, almost a year old, but I hadn't heard it before. Good music, these guys have talent.
