nautical book recommendations

I'm headed to Nantucket for a friend's wedding next weekend. I need a book for the drive up/back and some beach time while I'm there. This is my first trip to the cape and I think a book with some nautical theme-age would be a good pick. Moby Dick seems like the obvious choice, but I just re-read last winter. Does anyone have a favorite book o' the sea?

The Patrick O-Brian Jack Aubrey books are pretty good (Master & Commander) if you like historical fiction

The Old Man and the Sea, perhaps? Or CS Forrester's Hornblower novels.

Two Years Before The Mast, by Richard Henry Dana. It's a classic adventure narrative of his actual voyage. I live near one of the key locations of the novel, Dana Point...

The Mote in God's Eye by Larry Niven and Jerry Pournelle. Yeah, it's a SF book set in space. But it involves a ship in an imperial space navy. Back in the day, I always imagined it in the style of Star Blazers.

I'm going to have to check that out...

If we're talking about sea-space, what about Starship Titanic? It's the Douglas Adams book he was working on before he died, but finished by Terry Jones. Very Hitchhiker's Guide-ish

The Death Ship by B. Traven.

It was apparently Einstein's favorite novel. If so, Einstein had excellent taste in fiction.
