I think Garnett is an overrated choker who would've been tossed in the first round if not for Pierce, but Kobe could learn a lot from him. He set the tone for Boston's entire defense. Kobe has great intensity, but he's a tremendously overrated defender. If you want your team to be tough, you have to show toughness through more than just shot-making.

LeBron is either staying a Cav, or going to the Nets. Obviously, I'm saying he stays a Cav.. but if he leaves, he's gonna go with his buddy Jay Z.

Come on, Wilbon..

I do not want to hear all this crap about Paul Pierce reinventing himself, and going from a very good player to a great player after 10 years in the league..

Paul Pierce is overrated. What did Paul Pierce do without KG or Allen? He had a GREAT playoffs, because he was surrounded by talent.

I agree about the "surrounded by talent" part, but Pierce carried the other members of the Big 3 for a good portion of the playoffs. He went from being a very good scorer to being a nearly great all-around player due to his defense and willingness to give up the ball. The talent around him might've precipitated those adjustments, but he did them nevertheless with no complaints.

Yeah, I agree. He stepped up with his game and got the job done.

Oh, I agree that he stepped his game up on defense and giving up the ball.. but the way they were talking him up post-game on ESPN was just ridiculous. Paul Pierce is a very good player, but I wouldn't put him in that "great" category with guys like Kobe, LeBron, KG, etc.

I'll agree with you there. I've been avoiding the post-game hoopla so I wouldn't know how much slurping's going on.
