No, go ahead. I don't want anyone to use that lame excuse.

Defense aside, Buckeyes lost because they couldn't do shit on offense. Todd Boeckman should not have been in there as much as he was.

Rivals.com says it best.. make Pryor the starting QB NOW. They've got nothing to lose, and it was clear the pressure wasn't bothering him last night. The kid's a gamer.

I do think UGA is over-rated, though.

I don't think they're overrated in the same way that OSU gets overrated or that Notre Dame can get overrated, but I think they might be only the 3rd best team in the SEC (and maybe not even that), and they definitely were not one of the 3 or 4 best teams in the country at the end of last season.

They did not deserve a preseason #1 ranking.

In fairness, USC didn't prepare for Pryor; he was actually in more than just about everyone expected (including me; I didn't expect him at all unless the game was completely out of hand one way or the other). USC's game plan was for Boeckman.

I pretty much agree, I'm just sayin'...they were missing their best player and went against a superior team. They lost fair and square but you have to look at it in perspective.

I'm pretty sure I heard Carroll say they did prepare for him.

I mean.. they're not stupid. You prepare for the unexpected. Just like they prepared for Beanie.

But USC has always had trouble with mobile QB's.

if Georgia was completely healthy, i'd say they actually are the best team in the SEC and probably #2 in th country behind USC. but with all the attrition they've had, they might lose a shootout to Florida. but i'd still take my chances with them over anybody in the West. if LSU still had Perriloux, it'd be a different story. but they don't, so i see it right now as:

Florida (although they BETTER find a running game before the Outdoor Cocktail Party)
Georgia
LSU

I actually think LSU has a better chance of making the championship game than UGA. Until Georgia utilizes their QB's big arm better, they're destined for a couple of upsets.

oh, and Georgia absolutely was one of the 3 or 4 best teams in the country at the end of last year. name 4 teams who were playing better and i'll give you a shiny quarter.

actually, i'll even spot you 2: LSU and USC. now if you can name me just 2 more, i'll give you a shiny quarter.

problem ain't in how they utilize it. problem is that their biggest weakness that nobody seems to recognize is that their WRs are pedestrian at best.

and Stafford's 1,000,000-dollar arm also comes with a 10-cent head.

oh they definitely have a better chance to get to Atlanta. but that doesn't mean they're a better team.

Mizzou and Tennessee. I'd also throw in VT and Oklahoma.

:P Yeah, I know the WRs are average. But they can't be as horrible as they've looked the first few games. They can't, can they?

UT? seriously???? Georgia would've skull-fucked LSU in Atlanta the way they were playing from the Cocktail Party onward.

VT? Oklahoma? remind me how their bowl games played out again?

Mizzou is a maybe, although they lost to Oklahoma twice and i think UGA was better than Oklahoma.
