Tucker and Dale vs Evil was fun. I don't know if it's your kind of movie as I don't know how you feel about horror stuff, but it's funny if you like those kinds of movies. Severance is another movie like that, but British instead of American.
There's an older movie called Kinky Boots that seems like something you would enjoy if you like British comedy. Kind of similar in tone to The Full Monty or Saving Grace (another one you might like if you've never seen it). All three are about down on their luck people doing something odd, but instead of stripping or growing pot, this one is about making shoes.
If The Artist shows up on OnDemand or whatever, you'd probably enjoy it. It's pretty light for the most part, and has lots of good dancing and music.
My wife just watched a movie called TiMER earlier today from a couple years ago that stars that chick that played Anya on Buffy. It's a sci-fi romantic comedy, and she said it was cute and entertaining. That one is definitely on Netflix.
Beginners sounds good, but I don't know how serious it gets. Sounds like it's probably fun for the most part, but I could see it getting serious as it goes along.
