But man, talk about a clusterfuck... how many users / hits did Scans Daily have? I'm willing to bet it was more than the entire readership of X-Fucktor combined. And you can bet that none of them will be touching a PAD book for a while. Why would they? He broke their toy.

I swear to GODS that if I had a chance to meet PAD in real life I would hand him honorary membership cards to RIAA and Metallica. Just to send a message. I wouldn't even say anything except "here, these are for you" and walk away.

You also do know that Scans Daily was also HUGE fans of Linda Danvers and Young Justice. So yeah if PAD was behind this then this will be put in the dictionary under irony.

What's not grown up about what I said? The "attack your customers to make them buy from you" tactic is straight out of their playbook, and it's a proven failure. This is pretty much textbook How to Alienate Fans 101.

God, I'm far to drunk to argue right now.

Anyway, PAD is probably the most consistently writer in the business right now. Even the stuff of his I don't enjoy, like most of She Hulk, the Quicksilver one-shot, and the Stroman arc of XFactor, is a good deal better than a lot of comics out right now.

Do I agree with him sicking Marvel's legal team on that web site? Hell no, I think he's probably keeping people from reading the comic who would have otherwise. But that doesn't make the book any less awesome, and it doesn't make him any worse as a writer.

I guess it doesn't matter, though. We're all going to overreact to shit because we're on a message board and that's what we do.

I think putting out a shitty product hurts more than the 'attack your customers...' thing does. In any case, Metallica still makes a shitload of money.
