Next-gen gaming (PS4, Xbox One, Wii U)

So.. Sony just obliterated Microsoft at E3, then basically dropped the mic and walked off with a $399 price tag on their console.

I can't recall a bigger victory between the competitors at E3, to be honest.

Better exclusives shown.
Getting some more intriguing multi-platform games to do their show instead of MS.
No DRM.
No restrictions.
Used games.
Respecting their consumers and their rights of ownership.

It's like they basically sat back for the last month and listened to Microsoft digging their hole deeper and deeper, and did EVERYTHING OPPOSITE tonight. They pretty much didn't have to do much. MS fucked themselves over so hard.

I couldn't agree more.

Microsoft should not be getting waxed like this after this many years in the game.

We're already a playstation family and wont be in the market for a new system till our PS3 dies or becomes a paperweight. But yeah Sony figured out how to actually make a product people would choose over the other 9/10 times.

I've had Xboxes for the last two generations, but I'll be jumping ship to PS4 unless there are some drastic changes. Backwards compatibility would have been sweet though.

I hate all of the stupid restrictions with the Xbox One and am thinking about buying none of these next generation systems. The Xbox One $499 price tag, while not unexpected, is crazy compared to the $399 PS4 price. It's like a reversal from last generation. Microsoft has a ton of exclusive games coming out for it though. I haven't had time to watch Sony's conference, so what exclusives are coming to the PS4?

Xbox One exclusives:
Kinect Sports Rivals (Rare)
Killer Instinct (Rare)
LocoCycle (Twisted Pixel)
Forza 5 (Turn-10)
Project Spark (Team Dakota)
Halo (343i)
Untitled Black Tusk game
Ryse: Son of Rome (Crytek)
Sunset Overdrive (Insomniac)
Quantum Break (Remedy)
Dead Rising 3 (Capcom Vancouver)
D4 (Swery 65)
Crimson Dragon (Grounding Inc)
Below (Capybara Games)
Minecraft (Notch) also on PC
Titanfall (Respawn, EA) also on PC
Dance Central 4 (Harmonix)
Fantasia: Music Evolved (Harmonix)
Plants Vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare (EA)
Zoo Tycoon

I originally picked up the 360 after my ps3 died because I really didn't like anything about the PS3.

With Kingdom Hearts 3 and everything else shown, I'm heading back to sony. 8)

Sony definitely won out yesterday, although I am slightly disappointed in the fact that they're dropping free online play. Still, the exclusives for either system aren't enough to pull me in, particularly where the ones I'm really interested in (Witcher 3, Destiny) will be on PC as well.

So it looms like I'm out of the game for this generation, although I imagine I'll be back when my kids get old enough.

Dead Rising 3 will be on PS4 as well. And I believe Titanfall will be on 360 as well.

PS4:

Killzone: Shadow Fall
Infamous: Second Son
Drive Club
The Order 1866
The Witness
Final Fantasy 15
Kingdom Hearts 3
Transistor
Deep Down
Knack
Secret Ponchos
Planetside 2
Tiny Brains
Quantic Dream's next game... maybe that Sorcerer tech demo.

We know Naughty Dog is working on a PS4 title as well, which will probably be announced later this summer.

Dead Rising 3 is an exclusive. It's being published by Microsoft and was announced as an exclusive during the conference. Titanfall will be on the 360 like you said. Which PS4 games have you most excited? Do they graphically look better than Xbox One games? I might have to buy one of these consoles just to play Elder Scrolls online.

Ah, ok. Dead Rising 3 is listed for ps4 on IGN, whose list I was going by.

Infamous, Killzone, Kingdom Hearts 3 are the big ones. Plus whatever Naughty Dog announces at the next game show probably... Uncharted 4 would be my guess.

Titanfall is the only real MS game I like. The other non-PS4 exclusives I liked were all multi-platform.

The PS4 is supposed to be more powerful, so I expect graphics to be slightly better but at this point I dont think it really matters. Theyll both have great graphics.

I have a PS3 and was planning on going with the PS4 this year generation any way.

I just like Sony's 1st party stuff better than X-Box's.

The fact the PS4 is going to be cheaper and with less restrictive bullshit than X-Box One is just icing on the cake.
