If you are finding my attitude towards him in this thread offensive to homosexuals in general, 1) I genuinely took time to write my replies in a way to not come across that way, and 2) I'm sorry, but I'm not interested in anyone claiming the high horse here that couldn't be bothered to stand up for some of the nicest people on the board over the past few days over this bullshit. Everyone saw what was going on. Some people just walked away from it though.

Are we saying the people protesting the Nice Job Blacks thread (Potter, Eli Katz, Twigglet) are among the nicest on the board, Or are we saying that all black posters are among the nicest on the board? I'm not disputing that Eli Katz or Herald are nice, I'm just curious what you meant.

This whole event has been fairly silly. I mean, sure, with the help of my followers, I achieved a massive civil rights victory in getting that thread locked, but I didn't realize anyone was 4realz mad about it.

actually no i didn't see any of it until today AFTER the stuff was locked up. i don't go into every freaking thread on the board. i generally stay out of the political threads, and the threads that clearly are threads that are just made to start shit. Only reason i read any of it today was A) i was bored, and B) seeing like 4 threads locked in one morning is kind of extreme.

And i've been on the receiving end of shit on this board, so don't try to tell me how i need to respond to things.

I'm not trying to lump you into any category, so if only number 1 applies to you, I gave you an honest answer.

But just look at Thunderstorm and guys like him here now. I show up in the thread and suddenly he tones down his "humor," looks at him feet and tries to come across as relatively reasonable. He should be hesitant to act like he usually does, because now he knows there would be a cost. I mean, it's not great behavior, but it's manageable.

I'll let you in on a poorly kept secret. I know I'm a shitty poster. I post in patches and I'm too cautious about privacy to share anything personal about myself online or really connect with anyone outside of the board. I intentionally don't join any groups. I can also be a dick that most people wouldn't notice gone. But I do try not to be a dick to people who don't deserve it. I like the show Dexter.

The ballbusters on the board know that I'm not a mark. They don't even really try anymore. But yes, one way to make me care is for shitty posters to make this place worse for the classiest posters we have. Eli Katz, LobsterJ, Keb etc. are fucking amazing. The black posters here all just happen to be in like the top 10 funnest posters we have. This place is so fucking lucky to have them. They're the only reason I come here. Each of them are worth a million jackasses trying to boost their self-esteem with nasty, derivative humor here. For full disclosure, we're lucky to have you here too, and as "uncool" as it makes me sound, I would also care if it became someone's hobby to humiliate you as a "joke."

So that's my story. Yes, I do amuse myself when I get under the skin of ballbusters, but, like I said, I'm not perfect.

Potter, I'm not 'trying' to act reasonable, I'm having fun. And yes, it's a worn out joke by now, but it wasn't intended as any kind of protest, or to offend anyone. Hell, dude, I go out of my way not to join in on the poster-bashing that goes on here. How many times have I insulted you? You don't have to like me, its fine if you don't.

But what cost would there be for me acting like I usually do? None. I'm honest about my feelings on pretty much anything, but 'guys like you' tend to take what some of us say to ridiculous lengths to shut us up. For me, it has the opposite effect. And yes, I know I can be a dick.

I doubt GOSD intended to hurt people's feelings on the board with the thread, and I even suggested he change the title. I wasn't offended by it, Keb was, but I think he was the only hilarious black person who mentioned it. The rest was from uppity white folks.

I'm sure one day, maybe even soon, I'll flip out and you can have a field day with that. It's what I do, and I'm not bad at it. Go with what you're good at I always say.
