I'm not sure if I'm interpreting what you're saying there correctly, but I honestly wouldn't have bothered with any of this if a select few weren't trying to shit on the people I mentioned for their own ego boost. Perhaps you don't see it right now because you are busy feeling defensive in a thread created to try to prove that gay people wouldn't be as hurt by mockery as other minorities would. btw, I don't think this thread was created with a good sense of humor either.

Look, like I said before, I'm not looking to disagree with you for the "street cred," and I'd rather we be on better terms, but it's been obvious for a LONG time now what sorta poison has been growing on this board, unchallenged by more sensible people. I have no delusions of my importance here (but I'm not sure the same can be said for others), and maybe I was a sucker for allowing myself to get drawn into this, but I honestly feel like I would be a little ashamed of myself if I did anything much differently. If that means taking a bit of mockery myself, so be it.

I'm not trying to lump you into any category, so if only number 1 applies to you, I gave you an honest answer.

But just look at Thunderstorm and guys like him here now. I show up in the thread and suddenly he tones down his "humor," looks at him feet and tries to come across as relatively reasonable. He should be hesitant to act like he usually does, because now he knows there would be a cost. I mean, it's not great behavior, but it's manageable.

I'll let you in on a poorly kept secret. I know I'm a shitty poster. I post in patches and I'm too cautious about privacy to share anything personal about myself online or really connect with anyone outside of the board. I intentionally don't join any groups. I can also be a dick that most people wouldn't notice gone. But I do try not to be a dick to people who don't deserve it. I like the show Dexter.

The ballbusters on the board know that I'm not a mark. They don't even really try anymore. But yes, one way to make me care is for shitty posters to make this place worse for the classiest posters we have. Eli Katz, LobsterJ, Keb etc. are fucking amazing. The black posters here all just happen to be in like the top 10 funnest posters we have. This place is so fucking lucky to have them. They're the only reason I come here. Each of them are worth a million jackasses trying to boost their self-esteem with nasty, derivative humor here. For full disclosure, we're lucky to have you here too, and as "uncool" as it makes me sound, I would also care if it became someone's hobby to humiliate you as a "joke."

So that's my story. Yes, I do amuse myself when I get under the skin of ballbusters, but, like I said, I'm not perfect.

Well I'm not sure how I did that to the "vast majority of the board," but it's something I would've done differently if I had. My impression is that the vast majority of the board is a silent majority that was sick of a lot of the humor they saw around here too, but they didn't see a likely upside to arguing about it. They still don't. And if my tactics made more than just the people I was using them against uncomfortable, I do wish I figured out a different way. In my defense, I continued to post in threads about comic books and movies and entertainment throughout all of this. Because bashing people online isn't my entire life. So perhaps I should have shown better judgment than to respond to a few of the dozen of these mocking threads to never let an old offensive joke die, but I didn't start them. If anything, I just gave them the attention they wanted.

I don't think that "the vast majority" of posters here are "sick" of the edgy humor on the site. I think maybe a lot of people thought the thread title "Nice Job Blacks" was a little over the line, but I don't think anyone wants the place to suddenly become politically correct.
